It's not just travel insurance, it's travel reassurance!

Travel insurance that’s with you all the way - so you’ll be ready to roll, wherever your holiday takes you.

That’s Travel Reassurance!

Why high-quality cover matters

When John1 had a fall and needed urgent medical attention during his trip to America, he called our 24/7 medical emergency support team. We were able to reassure him that we would settle his bill directly with the hospital.

With no need to worry about finding the funds or paying for his treatment on a credit card, John was able to focus on what really mattered – feeling better.

If a medical-emergency bill comes to more than £350, we’ll do our best to pay the hospital directly whenever possible, so there’s one less thing for you to worry about.

What does a winter sports travel insurance policy include?

Unlike standard policies, our winter sports travel insurance covers you for the loss, theft or damage of your ski equipment and ski pass as well as cover for search and rescue and piste closure.

Do I need to have had both my Covid jabs to be covered?

As long as you’ve had the vaccines you’ve been offered for Covid-19, you should be covered. If you haven’t been offered both doses yet or you’re medically exempt then you can also be covered.

If you’ve refused any doses of the vaccine or haven’t been able to have a dose you’ve been offered, you won’t be covered.

Do I need to tell you about my pre-existing medical conditions?

It’s really important you tell us about your health, so we can personalise your cover to your needs.

Telling us about your health conditions is really simple – you can either do this online or over the phone.

If you have any concerns about the questions we’ll ask or the cover we offer, give our friendly team a call. We’ll be happy to answer any queries you have and talk you through the medical questions step by step – relax, we’ll never rush you.

Do I need travel insurance if I’m skiing in Europe?

You’ll need specialist travel insurance if you plan on skiing, snowboarding, or taking part in any other winter sports activities in Europe.

Most winter sports activities aren’t covered by standard travel insurance policies because they’re seen as ‘high-risk’. This means that if you had a medical emergency on the piste, without specialist cover for winter sports, you might not be covered if you need any help.

A Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC), which replaced the outgoing European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) when the United Kingdom left the European Union on 1 January 2021, will give you access to free or subsidised healthcare while on holiday in certain European countries.

However, a GHIC can’t cover you for getting home safely after a medical emergency should you need personal assistance. It also can’t protect you against theft or loss of personal items, cancellations, or cutting your trip short.

So, with both our travel insurance and a valid GHIC together, you’ll have belts-and-braces cover for your winter sports trip.
