Cancellation applies for booked trips taking place within the period of cover that you are forced to cancel and of which you were unaware at the time you booked your trip or purchased the cover (whichever is later).
Baggage and money claim
Baggage, clothing, personal effects (excluding golf equipment, winter sports equipment, ski pass, and valuables) and other articles which belong to you (or for which you are legally responsible) which are worn, used or carried by you during a trip, excluding any vehicle, caravan or trailer. This form can also be used for Passport claims.
Cutting short your trip (curtailment)
Either the immediate direct early return from your trip to your home country, or b) being a hospital in-patient outside your home country for a period in excess of 48 hours.
Delayed baggage claim
Please note this section of cover is only included in Comprehensive Cover. What is covered: We will pay up to £50 after the initial 24 hours (up to a total of £150 after 48 hours) if your baggage is certified by the carrier to have been lost, or misplaced on the outward journey of a trip. We will not pay claims under this section in addition to claims under Section 6a (Personal Baggage). No cover is provided under Section 6b for trips taken solely within the United Kingdom.
Medical and other expenses claim
Claims for medical treatment received and for additional expenses such as additional travel expenses.
Missed departure claim
Reasonable additional travelling and accommodation expenses necessarily incurred to reach your overseas destination or to return to the United Kingdom by the most direct route.
Personal liability claim
As a result of your act or omission occurring during a trip you become legally liable for accidental bodily injury to, or the death of, any person and/or accidental loss of or damage to their property.
Travel delay or abandonment claim
if the intended departure of your first outward or final inward international flight, sea crossing or coach or train journey forming part of a booked trip, is delayed as a direct result of strike or industrial action, adverse weather conditions, failure of air traffic control systems, or mechanical breakdown of aircraft, sea vessel, coach or train. Abandonment of your trip should you experience a delay as specified above, of more than 12 hours beyond the intended departure time.
