Holiday insurance that’s with you all the way
Planning a one-off trip or a year’s worth of holidays? Choose a travel insurance policy that will be by your side when you need it.
Single trip travel insurance covers you for just that, a one-off holiday or trip. Cover yourself for medical emergencies, having to cancel your trip and things like losing your baggage or passport.
If you’re lucky enough to be going on more than one holiday, an annual multi-trip policy can save you time – and might just give you a better deal!
If you’re travelling with a health condition, you’ll want extra peace of mind that you’re covered in case you need medical help. Simply add your conditions to your policy and you’ll have medical cover for pre-existing conditions. You’ll find no age limit on any of our policies, so you can enjoy travelling whatever your age.
It's not just travel insurance, it's travel reassurance!
If something does go wrong - we'll always aim to put it right. Good to know, especially if you're travelling with pre-existing health conditions
That’s Travel Reassurance!
What does our travel insurance cover?
Travel insurance is there to protect you should your plans take an unexpected turn for the worst. Whether you’re off exploring Europe, or going on a worldwide trip, you can choose between our Essentials, Classic or Deluxe policies. That way you can pick the right amount of cover for your trip.
As incredible as travel insurance is, not all mishaps will be covered. You won’t be covered for these type of claims:
Choosing not to travel
Travelling against the advice of your doctor
Travelling for medical procedures abroad
Accidents or mishaps that happened under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Pre-existing health conditions that you haven’t told us about and chosen to cover
Take the time to become familiar with your policy documents before you travel. That way you know what’s covered, and what’s not.
Do I need travel insurance?
While it’s not a legal requirement, travel insurance can help protect you if things don’t go to plan when you’re abroad.
Having a fall while on holiday in the USA can quite literally cost you an arm and a leg. Without travel insurance you’d have to pay the expensive hospital fees from your own pocket. But with Avanti, you can travel with the reassurance of knowing we’ll be there to help when you need us.
How does travel insurance work?
Tell us a few details about yourself, and your holiday plans
Let us know if you live with any pre-existing health conditions. That way we can make sure you have the cover you need.
Choose the right level of cover for your trip and add on any extras like cover for sports and activities.
Double-check all of your details and then you’re ready to go!
Do I need specialist cruise cover?
A cruise is an exciting way to see the world, but it also means there are more things that could potentially go wrong. Tell us if you’re off on a cruise and we’ll add specialist cruise cover to your policy. So you’ll get cover for things like:
When should I buy travel insurance?
It’s really important to take out travel insurance as soon as you book your holiday. This way you’ll be covered if you’re forced to cancel your trip.
You can take out a Single Trip policy up to 24 months before you travel, depending on your age.
How much does travel insurance cost?
The price you pay for your holiday insurance depends on a lot of things. Some things that can influence the cost of your policy are:
