Do I need to declare my pre-existing medical conditions for holidays to Spain?
Yes – or Si as you’ll soon be saying! Declaring your pre-existing medical conditions can help make sure you’re covered if something unexpected happens and you need to make a claim.
You may already know that some insurance companies won’t cover any pre-existing conditions as standard.
But should something unexpected happen, you could find that your policy doesn’t actually cover you if your pre-existing conditions weren’t added.
When it comes to having peace of mind on holiday, it’s best to make sure you’re covered.
It’s really simple to add your conditions. You can either fill out our online form in minutes and pay online, or speak to us on 0800 888 6195.
Do I need travel insurance for Spain if I have an EHIC?
When you’re going on holiday to Spain, it’s really important to make sure you have a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
But it doesn’t replace good travel insurance.
EHIC allows you to access reduced or free healthcare while you’re abroad. What it doesn’t cover is having to cancel your holiday, or being flown back to the UK if you have a medical emergency.
As part of our insurance, you’ll need to get an EHIC when you’re travelling to Europe but we’ll also take off any excess that you’d otherwise have to pay for medical claims.
It’s only fair right?
