Looking forward to your next holiday and travelling abroad may feel different to what you’re used to right now. With travel insurance for Spain, you can step foot on those sandy beaches and breathe in the sea air with confidence knowing we’ll be by your side if you need us.
Travel insurance that’s with you all the way - so you’ll be ready to roll, wherever your holiday takes you.
That’s Travel Reassurance!
Even with the FCDO advising against all but essential travel to mainland Spain, adding our European FCDO Travel Advice Extension to your policy can give you a level of cover if you need to travel and feel safe to go. You can make the choice yourself, based on how you feel and know we’ll be there to put things right if the unexpected crops up.
Right now, travel advice is changing all the time. So, it’s really important you keep in the know with the FCDO’s travel advice before you set off, and while you’re away too. If you haven’t added our European FCDO Travel Advice Extension to your policy but decide to go ahead with your trip, we wouldn’t be able to cover you if you needed our help.
Once the FCDO name Spain as safe to visit again, you can travel with extra reassurance, with medical expenses cover caused by COVID-19 included with all new policies, for not a penny more. Now, isn’t that what you’d call good peace of mind?
As of 28 October 2020, the FCDO added the Canary Islands to their exempt list. They still advise against all non-essential travel to all of mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands.
The day before Liz1 was due to go on holiday, she was diagnosed with a new medical condition and sadly, her doctor told her it wasn’t safe for her to travel.
She gave us a call and we accepted her claim for the cancellation of her holiday. Three days later, Liz was thrilled that the money was in her bank account.
Nothing can ease the disappointment of not being able to travel, but having a good policy with cancellation cover can help to soften the blow.

While Spain may be a familiar destination, the unexpected can happen on holiday at any time, meaning travel insurance is essential.
Things going wrong on your travels can vary from lost luggage or stolen passport, to a serious medical emergency. Thankfully, a policy with us means you can relax knowing help is there when you need it most.
It’s important to let us know about any pre-existing health conditions you may have. When you get in touch for your quote, we’ll ask you a few questions about your health and how it impacts your daily life. That way we can make sure you have a policy that meets your travel and health needs.
We understand that talking about your health may be a sensitive topic, which is why we’ll take you through the questions at a pace that suits you. We’ll never rush you.
If you forget to let us know of any health conditions you have, this may affect the validity of your policy and a claim being accepted if you need us further down the line.
Whether you’re taking a city break to Barcelona or a week’s family stay in Tenerife, you can get travel insurance that’s personalised to you.

The Canary Islands, including:
When the United Kingdom left the European Union on 1 January 2021, the GHIC replaced the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). You can still use your EHIC until it expires, though.
Your GHIC gives you access to free or subsidised healthcare while you’re abroad, in select European countries. It also covers your excess payment if you have a valid claim.
It’s important to have a good travel insurance policy as well as a GHIC. Your travel insurance offers you protection if you have to cancel your trip, cut your trip short, or if any of your personal possessions are lost or stolen.
Please remember that you must take a valid EHIC or GHIC with you if you’re travelling to Europe as a condition of our travel insurance.
