Travel update: Planning a trip sometime soon? Before you arrange your policy, make sure your holiday doesn’t clash with any travel bans in place around the UK. Government restrictions vary depending on where you live, so be sure to check the latest information as guidance changes often.
Travel bans imposed by the UK government are different from FCDO travel advice.
With travel insurance against FCDO advice, if you feel safe to go on your trip, you’ll be pleased to know we have cover for just that. So, even while the FCDO advises against all but essential travel to some of our most-loved destinations, you can still travel should you need to.
So you can travel with confidence knowing that if something does go wrong, we’ll always aim to put it right.
Travel insurance that’s with you all the way - so you’ll be ready to roll, wherever your holiday takes you.
That’s Travel Reassurance!
You’re all set for your next trip away and then the FCDO advise against but all essential travel to your European holiday destination. Thankfully, there’s no need to rearrange your trip with a policy from us.
Your holiday after lockdown should be remembered for the right reasons, which is why we want you to have confidence in your travel insurance. If you need to travel and feel it’s safe enough to go, adding our European FCDO Travel Advice Extension to your policy can give you a level of cover if you choose to travel while the FCDO advise against all but essential travel.
By adding the European FCDO Travel Advice Extension to your policy, your holiday plans to places like Spain or France don’t have to be put on hold. You’ll still be covered up to your policy limits for things like cancellation and lost luggage. But you won’t be covered for COVID-19 or any other reason for the FCDO issuing advice against travel, while travelling in Europe (including Tunisia, Egypt, Turkey and Morocco). Cover starts from as little as £5 per person, but may vary depending on your policy needs.
Before you set off on your next adventure, be sure to check the entry requirements of your destination, as well as local government advice.
|Cancellation and cutting your holiday short||£1,000||£5,000||£7,500|
|Medical emergency and repatriation||£5 million||£10 million||Unlimited|
|Money and passport cover||£300||£500||£600|
|Personal liability||£2 million||£2 million||£2 million|
If you add our European Travel Advice Extension onto your policy and travel to a country that the FCDO have advised against all but essential travel to, you won’t be covered for anything caused by or related to COVID-19 while travelling.
You will still be covered by your travel insurance up to your policy limits, just as long as your claim isn’t related to coronavirus and the reason for the FCDO’s advice.
With the extra European FCDO Travel Advice Extension, your policy can cover you for trips in Europe as well as Morocco, Turkey, Egypt and Tunisia.
