Oceana and Norweigian cruisesTwo Cruise Lines Recognised In Public Voted Awards

The reviews are in, and 2016’s cruisers choice awards have been revealed by cruise critic, with Oceania and Norwegian Cruise Line among the highly ranked winners.

Cruise experiences can be many and varied, but have you ever felt that often people are quick off the mark when it comes to negative comments and criticism, and slower with all the good things? Cruise Critic is one of the exceptions to the rule offering not just a mix of constructive and useful pro and consumer led reviews, but recognising the best through their Cruisers Choice Awards too.

The results from the previous year are in, and this time round Norwegian Cruise Line and Oceania were two success stories, but what did they win?

The Cruisers Choice Cruise Critic Awards 2016

These awards are compiled from user submitting ratings of cruises taken in 2015, the results are given for the top 5 on the Cruise Critic website  – sorted into large, mid, and small sized cruise ships in different categories, with the addition of a best overall section. Ships had to meet the criteria of a minimum number of reviews in any given category to make the top ten list, with the top 5 front runners listed on the websites awards page. Here’s some of the Oceania and Norwegian cruise ships that won, and the categories they were recognised in by cruisers.

The Positive Impact Of Cruise Critic

Cruise Critic is what holidaymakers want, but can’t always get in one place. As a large global site, you can expect to find a valuable mix of professional and user submitted reviews – the best way to get an objective view on a cruise experience. Another selling point is the detail that you’ll find on the website, not just from reviewers covering every aspect of cruising that you could think of, but cruise planning tools, industry news and trends, and special offers. When the site was formed back in 1995 the founders wanted to create an inclusive cruise community, and it looks like they have succeeded.

With so many cruise ships of all shapes and sizes setting sail each year, the cruise market is full of many different options, some targeted at families, others aimed at over 60s travellers or solo travellers.

This website can help everyone make an informed choice on cruise liners, whether you are an experienced cruiser looking for something new, or someone cruising for the first time and looking for genuine feedback and stories of other people’s experiences. Cruise Critic covers the basics such as cruise preparations, details on different ships and cruise lines, and plenty of content on different cruising regions/destinations – including reader submitted photos from different ports of call. Don’t forget to arrange your cruise travel insurance before you set sail.

If you’re not sure where to start and want to find out more about cruising then checking out the award winners, community posts and other content here would be a good first step towards your next/first cruise.
