Culinary and comedy-themed cruises for Princess in 2023
Princess Cruises has just added two more themed cruises for 2023.
The first is ‘Comedy Stars’. It sails Scandinavia for seven nights from 1 July with comedians Ed Byrne, Julian Clary, Paul Merton, and Suzi Webster on board to provide the laughs.
The other is a returning favourite, ‘Culinary Stars’. The celebrity chef cruise features cooking classes with Jean-Christophe, Ainsley Harriott, and Si King. The seven-night cruise stops off in France and Spain.
Saint Lucia – ‘Three Peaks Challenge’
Here’s something to get serious hikers seriously excited.
The Three Peaks Challenge, is a selection of – as the name suggests – three guided hikes in Saint Lucia.
Gros Piton (2618 ft), Mount Gimie (3117 ft), and Petit Piton (2438 ft) are the climbs that local experts and hikers will help you conquer. Petit Piton is the toughest climb of them all, and requires ropes to tackle its tricky, technical sections.
There’s an option only for serious athletes. “All Together” is the itinerary where participants will summit all three in one day!
A friendlier challenge, but one that still requires a good level of fitness, is “One at a Time” where the peaks are climbed over the course of several days.
Either way, this isn’t a challenge for the faint-hearted!
500,000 free flights to Hong Kong
A scheme run by the government in Hong Kong to help boost the tourism industry is handing out 500,000 free plane tickets this year.
Tickets will be available to Europeans from May and hope to encourage more people to return to Hong Kong.
Back in 2019, Hong Kong welcomed 59 million international visitors. It’s hoped that the “Hello Hong Kong” scheme will encourage a return to these numbers thanks to an investment of $2 billion ($250 million of which will be to pay for the free flights).
